Implant Diagnosis and Digital Treatment Planning

Dental implants are substitutes of missing teeth. they are tinanium made and are placed in the maxillary bone. they integrate to it and serve as anchors for missing teeth. once healed, single crowns, bridges or partial dentures are attached to them and substitute missing teeth.

To be a suitable candidate for dental implants, the patient must have healthy gums and enough bone support to harbour them. patients must assume their responsability in keeping good oral hygiene around them. it is of utmost importance to keep a meticulous oral hygiene and regular visits to the dentist are essential for implants to be long-term succesful.

For implant planning and placement, we do perform an intra-oral scanning, take full mouth impressions and request a ct cone beam. Once all the information is available digitally, a treatment plan is made together with the restorative dentist and 3d guided surgical stents are printed. Ideally a minimally invasive surgical implant placement is desired. if not feasible, the surgical execution has been simplified and planned from a to z with the restorative end on mind.
